About
What is Daunt?

Offering user authentication techniques that are essential to the integrity of these services, Daunt is the first directory of hidden service links of its kind. Created as a platform inside the Dread Network, we can utilize our login APIs to validate a user's data and classify them with other users who are similar to them. The services that are included in the directory will provide these organizations access to various tiers of mirror connections. In a similar vein, it allows us to create a filter that prevents specific user groups from accessing the links.

This platform was specifically designed to combat DoS assaults, which have afflicted the Tor network and harmed accessibility to both the targeted services and the network overall, resulting in instability all around. Even though a minority is still impacted, it mostly serves as a deterrent by permitting a large amount of traffic to reach the end service.

With these objectives in mind, the one issue we still have as the community's backbone is that it almost ensures that we will be a higher priority target for attackers, and we still have to deal with these assaults directly since they affect all of our key platforms.
